ALUMINA

                                                           ALUMINA (oxide of Aluminum)

Dryness is the word associated with this remedy. Dryness of mucous membranes and skin etc. The patient is dry and thin. Useful in old people and delicate children. The patient has aversion to potatoes. 

Constant inclination to clear throat, which resembles Hepar sulphur. 

Coilc in abdomen and with no desire for stool. Always constipated. The stool is dry, hard and knotty. 

It is a long acting remedy and therefore, the remedy should be used with great care. 

Potency-30th. Give 1/1,00,000 of a pill and wait for some time. Observe the symptoms. Watch the action for about ten days. 

 I have always used it as a complementary remedy to Bryonia Alba, which also has the symptom of dryness and constipation. 

The relationship of the remedies remain a prime concern and therefore certain strange relation is always observed. You remember Dr. Boericke has written in the remedy Lycopodium Cla.-- Lyco. is the only vegetable that takes up  aluminum--T F Allen. So when I antidote Lyco 30 by pulsatilla 30, the action/symptom of Lyco. was slightly modified. I then used Natrum Mur 30 and surprisingly the action of Lyco got further modified.  Let us have a look why so ??

Natrum Mur--up--so--China--down--so--Ip--up--so--Alum--down.  Due to this relationship, The Natrum Mur influenced the action/symptom of Lycopodium.
